Stories and Memories

I always thought that when I retired from Boeing I would have more time for my B&W photography work. That was 10 years ago. With some still unfinished CFD sailing related work, the Star mast design project, the R-23 Newsletter and now this Web site, I haven’t done much B&W work as evidenced by a small filing box containing six rolls of still undeveloped film. The long sink is cluttered with notebooks of negatives, colored slides and other items such as a disassembled card reader from my old HP41-C handheld calculator. Maybe someday I will get it to work again.

The dry-side countertop is just as bad with a light table and an old HP PC. Above is a long bulletin board that has not changed in many years. It is covered with a favorite photo of Chris and Kim sitting in the cockpit of our Cal-20, a collection of color photos of Chris playing rugby at WWU, a B&W of our Cal 20, #1177, just off the shore of Catalina Island in a Little Whitney race, a 1957 picture of Pat rock climbing at Joshua Tree National Monument, a photo of a special person, Bud Gardiner, and 5 ribbons from the only photo contest that I ever entered.

Lots of memories! I will try to share some of them with you as time permits.Home
